Wong Khoi Seong Alex drove us to the Art Gallery in Bentong, Malaysia. I was surprised to discover Loke Yew, a prominent figure in Malaysian history, who was a very successful Chinese businessman in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, I can relate to Loke Yew as the building is named after him in Hong Kong University, where I got my Master degree in 1970s.

Puchong is a suburb of Kuala Lumpur and has a lot of good restaurants that people drive a long way to enjoy the Chinese, Indonesian and Indian cuisine.

Taiping is a town in northwest Malaysia. It’s known for its well-preserved colonial architecture. Taiping Lake Gardens, a public park with angsana trees and a lotus pond, that was established in 1880 on the site of an old tin mine. My late mother’s sibling were all living in Taiping.
