A warm welcome at Tao Yuan Airport, Taiwan by Chung Kan Yee, my neighbor from Bowbazar, Kolkata, India. The purpose of this trip is to attend the Hakka Expo with the Malaysian group. 9-24-23
Patsy Liao treated me, Angela Tseng and driver to have Dosa, Onion Pakora, Chicken Tika at the Amana’s Kitchen which is a South Indian restaurant in Taipei. 10-1-23
Impromptu we visited the beautiful and iconic Grand Hotel in Taipei. On entering the lobby of the Hotel, the staff offered to have wheel chair to me and we leisurely visited the arcade. 10-2-23
Visited the Bao Ann Temple in Taipei with Angela Tseng and Patsy Liao. Look at the details and the intricate and amazing architect of the temple. 10-2-23

馬台客家文化之旅-世界客家博覽會 organised the ceramic factory and showroom of display of awesome and amazing art and ceramic of all kinds. There was a live demonstration of pottery by the experts with Hakka visitors participation. 9-28-23
Arriving by bus from Taipei to Miaoli, we visited Miaoli traditional Hakka Courtyard house. Then we had delicious Hakka dinner at the banquet hall. Mee Jin was honored as the “Best dressed Hakka”. There was traditional & modern Hakka songs being performed by the residents of Miaoli, Taiwan 9-28-23
Our Hakka group visited the Martyr Shrine in Taipei and we waited for the changing of the guards march. It was spectacular and serene to see the the spotless white uniform worn by the guards. 9-27–23
At the Taipei 101 Tower observation deck, I saw great artwork of Taipei 101 tower that is fascinating and awesome
Visiting the Hakka Cultural Center in Taipei, Taiwan and learn from the wonderful exhibits inside the Center about the Hakka people and culture with the scenic garden outside.
Visiting the 101 Taipei Tower with the Malaysian Hakka Group and enjoyed the inside shopping mall and the outside at the street level.

Alex Wong and I walked around the Shilin night market and it was just getting dark. We had dinner together and noticed some changes in the night market that I have visited in 2017.

We visited the National United University in Erping Shan Main Campus, Miaoli City, Taiwan and Professor gave us a tour of the beautiful campus. I saw a poster that this University has joint dual program with Kansas University in USA. 9-28-23
We visited Yehliu Geopark which is a cape on the north coast of Taiwan. It’s well known unique formation of landscape like honeycomb and mushroom rocks eroded by the sea. Well-known formations named for their shapes include the Queen’s Head and Dragon’s Head. 9-30-23
Shimen Fishing Wharf is located on the coast of Shimen District. Shimen Fishing Port has a simple fishing gear preparation yard, container for storing fishing gears, simply equipped oil tank and ship lifter. There was a unique Stone Arch (hollow gateway) to the fishing wharf. 9-30-23
Amazing and incredible temple with coral and shells decorating the floor, the pillars and ceiling. It is indeed awesome work of art that I have never seen before.
