Driving the treacherous winding road in Lake Tahoe in 1-5-2023 was an unforgetable experience in the low temperature of below 20 degree. All cars were mandated to have chains by Caltran and a lot were not allowed to drive under the icy and curvy road.

Lacy Park is apopular public park located in San Marino, California. Known for its serene beauty and meticulously maintained grounds and it offers a variety of features and activities especially during the weekend. 6-13-24

We visited The Alcazar Garden in the Balboa Park i San Diego wehich replicates the Castle in Seville, Spain The Central Fountains provide a very serene atmosphere. There are hedges and beautiful Flower Beds that are designed in geometric patterns typical of Moorish gardens. 6-9-24

Fo Guang Shan Hsi Lai Temple is a mountain monastery in the city of Hacienda Heights, California. The name Hsi Lai means “coming west”. Visiting the temple celebrating the year of the Dragon with all the CNY decorations.

The Chinese Garden at the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens is known as the Garden of Flowing Fragrance (Liu Fang Yuan). It’s one of the highlights of the Huntington estate of 600 acres located in San Marino, California. This classical Chinese garden is designed to reflect the essence of the traditional Chinese garden style, incorporating several elements such as pavilions, bridges, a lake with blooming lotus , and meticulously landscaped gardens.

The “desert” at the Huntington Library likely refers to the Desert Garden within the Huntington Botanical Gardens, The Desert Garden is renowned for its extensive collection of desert plants, including succulents and cacti from around the world.

Olvera Street, located in the heart of Los Angeles, California, is a vibrant and historic part of the city. It’s known as the birthplace of Los Angeles and is part of the El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument. The street is a bustling marketplace that celebrates the city’s Mexican heritage and culture.

The Heroes Hall Museum in Costa Mesa, California, is a unique museum dedicated to honoring veterans and celebrating the stories of those who have served in the U.S. military. It is located inside the Orange County Fair & Event Center. It serves as both an educational and memorial site that we discovered while attending the Orange County Fair.

Taking bus tour from Los Angeles to Yellowstone National Park for 7 days. It is a very enjoyable trip travelling over 1000 miles going to through Las Vegas to Breece Canyonm Utah, Idaho and Wyoming.

Visiting the Norton Simon Museum which is an Art Museum located in Pasadena, California. It was previously known as the Pasadena Art Institute and the Pasadena Art Museum and has all kinds of displays of numerous sculptures on inside.
